After the Hurricane, Photos of the Recovery

After Irma Hurricane, photo slide show of the recovery efforts in Cuba.

From September 7 – 10 of this year, Hurricane Irma swept through Cuba from east to west.  Ten lives were lost and there was much devastation to land and property.  Hurricane Irma caused severe coastal flooding, strong winds, and heavy rainfall, mainly in the north of the island from Camagüey to Artemisa.

Since the Hurricane, Cubans have been working diligently to restore electricity, clear the streets and ensure food delivery to the affected areas.  The Cuban government said that tourism sector would be fully restored in time for the tourism season which starts in November.  Most tourism destinations are now up and running, ready to welcome the tourists back to Cuba.
