HAVANA, April 26. The Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the United Arab Emirates and the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba, have signed today, virtually, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), to strengthen economic and trade relations between the two countries and expand commercial and industrial cooperation among them.
The MoU will also serve to continue and develop these relations, promote investment and strengthen ties between entrepreneurs, organizations and commercial companies.
The MoU was signed by H.E. Antonio Carricarte, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Cuba and H.E. Humaid Bel Salem, Secretary Genral of UAE Chambers. Present also at the moment of the signing, H.E. Roberto Blanco, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the UAE and H.E. Bader Almatrooshi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Cuba.
Both sides highlighted the multiple possibilities available in the field of biotechnology, considering the achievements of Cuba in this sector, likewise, both sides agreed to capitalize on the expertise of the UAE in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Technology and Creative Economy. The heads of both Chambers of Commerce coincided on the need to implement the signed MoU through immediate and tangible initiatives.
