Cuba attended the 6th International Municipal BRICS Forum which took place in Moscow’s Expocenter on August 27-28, 2024.
Delegations from 126 countries took part in the forum along with representatives from the Russian regions. More than 5,000 participants from 500 cities of the world discussed current economic problems, digital technology spheres, environment, municipal infrastructure, transport, healthcare, education, and culture.
A delegation from the Office of the Historian of the city of Havana participated as a guest in the BRICS International Municipal Forum. Cuba took part in the Block on Culture, Sports and Tourism
According to Perla Rosales, deputy general director of the Office of the Historian of Havana, the delegation’s mission was to take advantage of the platform for the exchange of experiences between representatives prior to the BRICS summit to be held in Kazan in October.
The BRICS event was organized by the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Moscow City Duma, and other organizations.
