The second edition of the Cuba Business Forum 2021 (FECuba2021) is scheduled for November 29 to December 2, online.
The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment (MINCEX) is sponsoring the event. ProCuba, the Chamber of Commerce, the Foreign Trade Business Group (GECOMEX), the Mariel Special Development Zone, and the Chambers of Commerce and Trade and Investment Promotion Agencies are taking part. Representatives of non-state enterprises, foreign companies interested in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) will be present.
Cubans who live abroad are also invited to take part.
Yesterday, Rodrigo Malmierca, Minister of MINCEX, gave a speech on the Ministry’s YouTube channel, inviting business people all over the world to strengthen ties with Cuba.
The Cuba Business Forum will be a venue for negotiation and connecting local businesses and foreign companies with an interest in investing.
There will also be opportunities for obtaining information and exchanging ideas relating to changes in the Cuban economy.
Cuban businesses will promote their products for export and investment opportunities on the Island.
The Minister’s Speech
“It is an honor to invite you to participate in the second edition of the Cuba 2021 Business Forum, which will be held virtually from November 29 to December 2 of this year, with the aim of continuing to promote trade and investment.
In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, this forum will provide an excellent space for exchange between national and foreign entrepreneurs, new Cuban economic actors, including non-state management forms, government representatives, Chambers of Commerce and Trade and Investment Promotion Agencies, who wish to interact and exchange on business and trade with the island.
The second Forum has been conceived to provide spaces for information and exchange about the transformations taking place in the Cuban economy. It will be an excellent opportunity to learn about our main export products (goods and services) and business opportunities in priority sectors such as biopharmaceuticals, tourism and agri-food.
As part of this event, a virtual fair will be held for the first time, allowing entrepreneurs to exhibit their products through the Business Forum platform. Likewise, a Business Forum will be held with the participation of Cubans living abroad with business and investment interests in the island, which will contribute to strengthen the ties between Cubans living in other countries and the nation.
By registering in advance on the Forum’s website, working appointments may be arranged with representatives of companies linked to the external sector of the economy.
Our country will be pleased to count on your participation in the second Cuba 2021 Business Forum through the website: foroempresarial.mincex.gob.cu.
Registration for the event will be available from October 4 until November 25.”
