Cuba’s Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz arrived in Paris yesterday on an official visit that includes meetings with French government and business leaders.
On Monday, Cabrisas met with Emmanuel Bonne, Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the French Republic. Cabrisas and Bonne discussed the positive state of bilateral relations and confirmed the mutual interest in deepening them.
During the meeting, Cabrisas forwarded the greetings of President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez to the President of the France, Emmanuel Macron.
The Diplomatic Advisor restated the position of the French Government on the continued rejection of the U.S. embargo/blockade maintained by the United States.
Also present at this meeting were Cécile Ondoa Abeng, Counselor for Latin America and the Caribbean at the Presidency of the Republic, and the Cuban Ambassador to France, Elio Rodríguez Perdomo.
Today, Minister Ricardo met with Franck Riester, Delegate Minister of Foreign Trade and Attractiveness, and co-president of the Franco-Cuban Economic and Commercial Commission to review the bilateral agenda, including investment and cooperation issues.
The two men spoke of the positive state of bilateral relations and confirmed a mutual interest in deepening relations.
Minister Reister restated the position of the French Government on its rejection of the embargo/blockade enforced by the United States.
Also present at this meeting were Cécile Ondoa Abeng, Counselor for Latin America and the Caribbean at the Presidency of the Republic, and the Cuban Ambassador to France, Elio Rodríguez Perdomo.
According to Reuters, Cabrisas will meet with the Paris Club creditors on Thursday.
