Spain’s Be Live Hotels renews its Varadero hotel contract with Cuba’s Gran Caribe Hotel Group. The agreement is for a five-year extension for two hotel facilities in the Varadero beach resort area.
The contract covers the administration and marketing of the Be Live Las Morlas and Be Live Experience Varadero hotels.
Be Live Hotels belongs to the Globalia group, the first Spanish tourism company. Be Live operates hotels in Cayo Santa Maria, Havana, and Varadero. It has been present in the Cuban tourism industry for 15 years working with the Gran Caribe Hotels Group. Be Live Hotels hopes to expand its portfolio on the Island in the near future.
Officials including Cuba’s Tourism Minister, Juan Carlos Garcia Granda, Consul General Alain Perez, Gran Caribe president Cristina Leon and Be Live-Globalia directors, Francisco Javier Hernandez and Francisco Jose Perez, visited the Cuban embassy in Madrid to sign the agreement.
The signing ceremony took place within the framework of the 42nd International Tourism Fair (FITUR).
FITUR is a prestigious tourism industry event held each year in Madrid. Almost 7,000 participants from 107 countries have attended this month. Cuba is also present and has been awarded the Medal of Merit for the Internationalization of Spanish Tourism in Ibero-America.
FITUR runs until January 23.
