After two years of cancellations because of pandemic conditions, the FIHAV is back. The Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca, made the announcement at a press conference yesterday.
The FIHAV 2022 (La Feria Internacional de La Habana) annual international trade fair will run from November 14—18 and will be located at the ExpoCuba Exhibition Complex in Havana.
FIHAV 2022 is the most important international trade fair in the Caribbean and Latin American region.
This trade fair is a unique opportunity to meet Cuban business people from all sectors in one place during a single week. Arranged independently, these kinds of meetings would take far more time, effort, and expense.
Exhibiting at FIHAV has been a proven growth strategy for international companies in Cuba. There are many reasons to attend FIHAV Havana this year.
The event is viewed as a proven entry strategy into the Cuban market. Traditionally, attendance at the FIHAV trade fair is seen as a part of the pre-selection process. Exhibiting in your country’s pavilion establishes both the reputation of company brand and endorsement by one’s own government. In the past, a presence at FIHAV would result in signed business agreements in as little as six to 12 months. Now, with the expedited process of VUCE and VUINEX, it is expected to be much quicker.
Over the last two years, Cuba has held the Cuba Business Forum 2020 online as an alternative to the FIHAV. In previous years, over 65 countries took part in FIHAV.
