The Cuban Book Institute announces the 32nd edition of the Havana International Book Fair from February 15 to 25, 2024,* to take place at its traditional venue at the San Carlos de la Cabaña Fortress.
Brazil is the Guest of Honor at this year’s festival. It is dedicated to Isabel Monal, philosopher, researcher, intellectual, and winner of the 1998 National Prize for Social and Humanistic Sciences, and the writer Francisco Lopez Sacha.
The theme of the event is Building Identity Through Reading. It promotes reading as one of the central activities in the formation of individual and collective conscience and critical thinking.
The Havana International Book Fair’s program offers spaces for literature and knowledge, including literary meetings, colloquiums, book presentations, lectures, and others.
There will also be an exhibition and commercial area with a wide variety of books for all audiences.
The usual spaces will return, such as the Tesoro de Papel Children’s Pavilion and the Professional Salon. Those interested in technology will find an opportunity to enjoy literature differently within the Cuba Digital project.
In addition, the Havana International Book Fair will hold the Business Forum. The forum is an excellent opportunity for professional networking with the world’s most important publishing houses.
The Havana International Book Fair lasts for ten days in Havana and then travels to other cities, ending in Santiago de Cuba.
