The beach resort town of Varadero offers splendid beaches and medical tourism services for international patients.
If you’re seeking sun, sand and azure blue sea, Varadero offers it all. About 40 resort hotels built along the beachfront have been catering to tourists who are mostly seeking the ideal winter escape paradise. What you probably didn’t know is that this very famous resort town also offers healthcare for international patients.
A wide variety of medical services managed by skilled doctors and nurses can be found at the International Healthcare Center which has recently undergone upgrades and delivery of new cutting edge medical equipment.
Varadero is one of the most well known and oldest resort towns in Cuba located on the Hicacos Peninsula on the north shore. Big brand hotels such as the Melia Cuba and Iberostar dot the coastline.
Some of the new medical equipment now in Varadero include a biochemical analyzer for providing fast lab tests, digital x-ray and ultrasound devices. Hemodialysis treatment for patients requiring dialysis is also available in the Center.
There’s also an alternative medicine facility in Varadero which offers health and wellness services such as stress management, dietary advice, therapeutic massage and an exercise and fitness center.
Tourists looking for less expensive dental surgery and treatment will find it in the dental clinic which offers dental procedures ranging from simple teeth cleaning to prosthesis and maxillofacial surgery at a reduced cost to the patient.
While you’re in town, should you need to fill a medical prescription, there’s a pharmacy. And heaven forbid, if you need emergency medical assistance, help is not far away.
