Update:  It has been announced that the Iberostar Grand Packard will open this September 10.

Iberostar Grand Packard will open in the heart of Havana before the end of the year.

The hotel chain Iberostar Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening during the last quarter of the year of the Iberostar Grand Packard, its first luxury hotel in the heart of Old Havana and the maximum exponent of quality and exclusivity of its offer in Cuba. Combining the original architectural value of the building with innovative and exclusive luxury lines, the hotel chain has reinvented this historic hotel, which will regain the splendor of its origins with its opening.

Coinciding with the celebration of the 500th Anniversary of the founding of Havana and the 25 years of commitment to the island, Iberostar Hotels & Resorts reopens one of the most emblematic buildings of Havana, with the aim of paying tribute to the colonial history of the capital and its development to this day.

“Cuba has always been one of our priority destinations and one of the favorites of our clients internationally. The Iberostar Grand Packard materializes not only our commitment to Cuba and respect for its past and present, but also our commitment to excellence, quality and customer experience, “says Aurelio Vázquez, COO of the Iberostar Group.

Given its high architectural value and its roots in the capital, Iberostar has opted for a rehabilitation project that takes care of the colonial roots and the exclusivity of this building. A project that has managed to unite quality and elegance with the flavors, rhythms and history of a magical city.

The Iberostar Grand Packard resurfaces from its original façade, which welcomed illustrious personalities such as Pablo Neruda and Marlon Brando; preserves the essence of Paseo del Prado, the most important avenue in Old Havana; and it rises in a pioneering way with a modern upper structure, where you can enjoy the most spectacular views of the capital to the Malecón and the Bay of Havana, as well as the Castle of the Three Kings of the Morro.

This upcoming opening of Iberostar in Cuba offers much more than accommodation for visitors to the island. Its 321 luxury rooms and its exclusive services and amenities are just the basis of a space of cultural enjoyment.

The opening of the Iberostar Grand Packard will be the finale for 2018, a year in which Iberostar is positioned as one of the leading companies in number of luxury hotel establishments and places available in Cuba. Among its next objectives, it includes reaching the 12,000 rooms on the island in 2020.
