CUPET’s Cuba Energy Conference Scheduled for November

Union Cuba-Petróleo (CUPET) will host the third annual Cuba Energy Oil and Gas Conference (CEOG) 2019 scheduled for this November 26 – 29 at the Melia Cohiba Hotel in Havana.

For the third year running, CUPET invites international IOCs, operators, service providers and companies to meet in Havana for four days of strategic and technical networking and business development.

The CEOG Energy Conference is CUPET’s official licensing round event for Cuba. It is also an update on the Company’s existing exploration and production activities – onshore, shallow water, and deep water in the Gulf of Mexico.

CEOG 2019 will give participants an insight into the latest information and analysis provided by CUPET and experts from the industry.  Also covered at this year’s conference, a very timely presentation on the Helms-Burton Act and its likely impact for business.

The two day event also includes a workshop which will present the results of BGP Marine’s extensive surveys and analysis of the Cuban Economic Zone in the Gulf of Mexico. In addition, on November 29th, participants will experience a very interesting site visit to a CUPET drilling operation near Matanzas Bay.

The site visit includes transportation and lunch at one of Varadero’s most exclusive restaurants. The day is hosted by CUPET executives. The trip provides a view into the type of opportunities available for domestic and international investors and suppliers.

Global Event Partners, the U.K. firm which organizes the Cuba Energy Conference each year, is bringing back its exclusive ”Business Matching” service. The program assists participants by pre-arranging meetings with other attendees through a simple-to-use technology platform. The platform assists users in finding potential clients, investment opportunities and partnerships.

Last year’s Cuba Energy conference was attended by 311 delegates from 25 participating companies. A total of 45 leading industry experts gave presentations and 71 business matching meetings took place. This year the upcoming Cuba Energy program is expected to be an even larger event.
