FIAGROP the International Agricultural and Livestock Breeding Fair

FIAGROP, Cuba’s Agro-industrial livestock fair, takes place each year at the Rancho Boyeros Exhibition in Havana.  This year’s agriculture and livestock event will be held from March 19 to March 25.  Already booked to participate,  226 exhibitors from 18 countries will show up at this year’s event. Nations with the largest number of participants are Spain, Germany, Mexico, Panama, Holland, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, Guatemala, Costa Rica, United States and New Zealand. Ignacio Caraballo Barreto, Director of the event, told a press conference in Havana that the number of participants was up this year compared to the previous year and did not rule out the possibility of more representatives. He also said there will also be a presentation on new foreign investment opportunities in the agricultural and animal sector.Advertisement. Scroll to continue reading. Cuban participation at FIAGROP includes 125 producers and farmers in cattle, reforestation and agricultural and tobacco productions who will make presentations. Presentations will also cover the quality and production of meat, good practices for the organization of a herd, treatment of pig residues,the use of renewable energy and available agricultural resources in Cuba, Latin America and the Caribbean.
