It's a deal! Visas and all! Cuba's national baseball team will be playing in the CanAm League.
Cuba’s National Baseball team is set to play in Ottawa from June 14-16 this season. Their visas were delivered in the nick of time so as not disappoint diehard baseball fans who take the game ever-so-seriously. There was some nail-biting going on when it was unknown whether the baseball team would receive their visas to Canada in time to take part in the Can-Am League games in Ottawa this month. But the visa office came through in time for the Cuban players to head up north to Canada’s capital city. The original deal was signed by Can-Am League officials after a series of meetings in Havana back in March of this year. The Cuban team will play June 14, 15, and 16 at Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton Park, also known as RCGT Park Baseball Stadium.
