For approximately 20 years, the office of ProCuba has been the center for the promotion of foreign trade and investment in Cuba.  This office is responsible for the promotion of business opportunities and facilitates the establishment of foreign investors and businesses in Cuba.  For those interested in investing in Cuba, this is one of the first stops to enter the Cuban market.

ProCuba focuses on Cuban foreign companies in the international market aiming to develop an export culture on the Island.  To achieve this, ProCuba coordinates and participates in trade fairs, events, missions and forums both nationally and internationally.

The organization also works with both the stakeholders in Cuba and the foreign investor.  They provide feasibility studies on trade and economic effectiveness, promote professional networking and contacts for foreigners with national companies in Cuba.

ProCuba works in conjunction with the Cuban Chamber of Commerce in Havana and trade and commerce representatives of the foreign embassies in Havana.

Deputy Director Yohanely Savigne Chacon describes the goals of ProCuba as “our interest is to provide as much information, advice and support to all foreign businessmen interested in knowing how to invest, what are the opportunities offered by the current legislation, priorities by sectors, the objectives of Cuba with investments and what to do to set up.”

ProCuba has been approached by thousands of entrepreneurs from Europe, Latin America, Asia, the Caribbean and the Middle East during the lead up to the annual FIHAV trade fair in Havana.

Currently, investment opportunities exist in tourism, renewable energies, agriculture and food, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and energy sectors.  ProCuba’s mission is to match potential investors with Cuba’s current portfolio of 246 businesses worth approximately $8.7 billion dollars.

ProCuba is a member of the Ibero-American Network of Trade Promotion Organizations and the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA).
