The CIMEX corporation has expanded its online store Tuenvio, with the goal to increase online shopping. The eCommerce platform will also reduce crowds in the big shopping centers to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection.
Since last December, the Tuenvio website has been available to Havana residents. It has grown to include other people from the provinces at the beginning of this year. The website will expand for Havana customers to include seven large shopping centers, the Almacenes Ultra, Mercado Four Caminos, El Pedegral and Dragones Chinos.
Basic need products are available in limited quantities. Home delivery takes a week or more. Shipping times are expected to improve with the addition of vehicles and the Correos de Cuba postal service to deliver purchases.
Tuenvio website customers use the Transfermóvil application by ETECSA which is linked to a bank card for payment processing.
People can purchase products from the Tuenvio website by first selecting their province. Prices are in CUC, but customers can pay with the currency of the bank card they choose. The currency conversion is then processed by the bank.
